Dr. Tamara S. Housman
Dr. Housman earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and is double board certified in both Dermatology and in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She completed her internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and her dermatology residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She completed her Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship, accredited by both the American College of Mohs Surgery and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following fellowship, Dr. Housman was the founder and medical director of Providence Dermatologic Surgery in Portland, Oregon. She has published over 29 peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Housman is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and the North Carolina Dermatology Association. Dr. Housman lives in Raleigh with her husband and two children. She enjoys group fitness, biking, traveling, and baking.

In addition to being an ACMS Mohs Fellowship, Dr. Housman's fellowship was also a Procedural Dermatology Fellowship accredited by the ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education).
